# Introduction

<figure><img src="https://rootrprotocol.github.io/rooter-site/brand/lockup-dark-3400x840.png" alt="Rooter"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Who are you rooting for?** Rooter lets anyone launch a coin for anyone. Paste a handle. A coin exists, with liquidity that can never be pulled. People root for the person by trading it. The person earns from every trade and can claim what is theirs by proving the handle. And unlike every person coin before it, the people doing the rooting earn too.

Every rooter feeds the next rooter.

| ------------------ | --------------------------------------------------------- |
| Chain              | Robinhood Chain, id 4663                                  |
| Token              | $ROOTR, fixed supply of 1,000,000,000, on Robinhood Chain |
| Fee on every trade | 3% of the quote side. It never goes higher. |
| Liquidity | Locked at birth. No withdraw path exists. |

**Where things stand.** The Rooter protocol is written down here in full and is not yet deployed. It goes live after the token, in the order set out in [What comes next](/whitepaper/what-comes-next.md). Nothing in this document is a prediction, and the examples in [The numbers](/whitepaper/the-numbers.md) are worked examples, not forecasts. Addresses appear on the Addresses page as each contract is deployed and verified.

## How to read this

If you want to root for someone, read [Rooting](/whitepaper/rooting.md) and [Who gets paid](/whitepaper/who-gets-paid.md). If a coin exists about you, read [Claim your coin](/whitepaper/claim-your-coin.md). If you want to know what can and cannot happen to your money, read [Under the hood](/whitepaper/under-the-hood.md) and [Straight talk](/whitepaper/straight-talk.md). If you hold $ROOTR, read [$ROOTR](/whitepaper/rootr-token.md) first and [Straight talk](/whitepaper/straight-talk.md) second.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://rooter-3.gitbook.io/whitepaper/readme.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
